Every morning from 8.00am to 8.30am we run a breakfast club for all students in the quad. Here we offer students free tea and toast as they arrive at school.

Thank you to our School Chaplain, Ms. McCarthy and Transition Year students for running this initiative.

Lunch

We have a healthy eating policy in place which can be seen here; Healthy Eating Policy

Fizzy drinks and high-caffeine drinks are strictly banned and should not be brought to school as they will be confiscated.

Students can purchase hot meals at lunchtime at a very reasonable price from O’Briens Butchers, please see the menu below.

Supervised Study

St. Aloysius’ College offers a Supervised Study programme for our 3rd, 5th, and 6th year students during the academic year, priority is given to exam year students. This program provides a structured and supervised environment for students to complete their homework and engage in additional study.

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4.15pm - 7.15pm.

  • Wednesday afternoons from 1.30pm - 3.30pm.

  • Friday evenings from 4.00pm - 6.00pm.

Students have 30 minutes after school finishes to get organised for study.

Our Supervised Study sessions are supervised by our school teachers, ensuring a quiet and supportive atmosphere conducive to learning.

Homework Club

In addition to the Supervised Study programme, we are excited to offer a Homework Club specifically for our 1st and 2nd-year students. This club provides a supportive environment for younger students to complete their homework with the guidance of school teachers.

Schedule:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4.00pm - 5.00pm.

The Club helps 1st year students especially to plan their homework schedule, identify impending deadlines and to ask for help if needed.
